  • You are always an individual in the MSS. However, some members have formed Households. These are groups of friends who come together at shows, and sometimes socially, in replica of a Medieval fighting company on campaign. Some are based on actual historic households, whilst others use a new name. Households can be small, even two or three people, or have many members. Most camp as a group. Some do living history, some have fighting units, some archery, and some all three. You never have to join a household, and many never do. Household members have no extra privileges in the MSS, it’s purely for fun. But if you have been asked (and it is by invitation unless you set up your own), then some of the main households are listed below or you can choose not to say, or stay an independent.
  • The MSS will present event information and other notices in a regularly produced Warning Orders magazine. It is issued by email and is also available for download via the private MSS Facebook group and Member Forums. Make sure you keep up-to-date with the latest information about events, training, and meetings etc. The MSS may also on occasion contact you by email or text regarding regional meetings, events and other non-emergency information.
